What can be the new research topics in English literature under the larger area of fiction and comparative studies in India?

The number of Indians settled abroad or working in the US or UK and writing fiction has been steadily increasing. One could look at this critically in terms of the expat experience, cultural interface and so on. In India English is the answer for breaking social barriers, gainful employment and also acceptance.
