Children, Technology and Education at Invoked 4.0
This time at invoked 4.0 I was pleasantly surprised to be interviewed by two kids from the US; Ariel and Ellis. They were doing a series of sessions with the panel speakers, guests and educationists on the importance of leadership. The questions were not rehearsed. Hence my answers were nearly impromptu. Some Random thoughts on Education
School Education in India starts from the day a child is born. Parental control of the child’s fortunes is so severe that there is an understanding as to the child’s future study, vocation and career shortly after the birth of the child.Parental aspirations carve an image for the child and schooling becomes the first step towards realizing this aspiration. Uncertainty about economic fortune and eagerness to establish a security for the child is driving millions of Indian families into investing time and money disjunctive to known principles of Education i;e the child’s interest and aptitude.

What is Leadership? How do you experience leadership, especially in Education? A leader, by any wide definition of the term, has to lead. The leading has to be towards the implementation, execution, and realization of an aim, objective, target, or goal. Since the dawn of humanity, the issue of leadership and the debate as to why some people become leaders while others cannot has been complex and addressed by philosophers, thinkers, theorists, and strategists alike.

My observations of a classroom.
What other place for a teacher than a classroom; A room with a class of students willing to learn from their teacher. All other sources or gadgets of learning like learning platforms, digital classrooms, Tabs, Apps, Guides can never replace the teacher. A Teacher who ‘Knows’ the subject, ‘Knows’ the students and ‘Knows’ to submerge the individual identity in the collective wisdom of the class, reigns supreme.
