Ranking works of art is always a difficult task and novels is not exempted since everyone has his or her favorites. My list will be Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, I Claudius by Robert Graves, To Kill a mocking bird by Harper Lee, Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, Don Quixote by Miguel Cervantes, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, Faust by Goethe, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. As it is not possible to limit to the top ten let me add Chinua Achebe’s Things fall apart, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Trial by Franz Kafka.
