Our little home,our small abode
Not too far,not too near
To the blazing Star
Full of life,joy and strife
Ever generating, ever perishing in the cycle of creation
Alive to all our needs
Air,water,food and shelter
All given from your side
But we asked for more
For ever demanding, for ever encroaching
Every place, every space
Here and there,every where
All designed for our comfort
The fish and the birds
The animals and insects
Trees and plants, mountains and rivers
Tamed or extinguished
It was all our effort
A time will come
When you will hit back
Puncture your protected screen
To let in harmful sheen
Global warming, greenhouse effect
Rising oceans, vanishing species
Carbon emissions
What are they for me?
I want to run
From the holocaust
After having created it
Some feel things will improve
But nothing as such will move,
Then where shall we hide?
Swimming adrift in this winding tide.
